They're both lovely people and are very successful at what they do. I recently re-watched a webisode of " Serious Jibber-Jabber with Conan O'Brien" featuring Jack White. He was scary good at it, but maybe he wasn't? Let me explain. So I'd say he was the problem as much as he was the solution. I'd say the only reason I thought I could wing it in the first place was because of my boss. You are so bad at winging it, be more prepared But it's easier to be lazy, think of excuses and blame your surroundings - and fall behind. It's so easy and it usually starts with an email. I learned if I don't have a paved path to learn or do what interests me, I should create one. I should've taken lead, got a trial or a demo of anything worth learning. Sales reps are usually more than happy to get as in-depth as one would like. This is something I'm always consciously trying to get better at, I can be very critical and not always the useful kind.įor example, if I wanted to learn and explore an expensive digital analytics tool that none of our clients were using yet, I'd blame the lack of opportunity and sophistication around me, my agency and my clients and stop there.
